Having a mentor can turbocharge your career as a Toastmaster on the Communication and Leadership tracks. To kick off our Mentorship program, Peninsula Toastmasters has created guidelines for the new mentor. This document outlines the 3 primary objectives of a mentor and provides a checklist of specific action items one may take to achieve those objectives.
Any roadmap for mentors will always be a work in progress. But as our wonderful mentors and mentees begin to cooperate and gain new experience, we will revise the document to incorporate new tactics and insights. The latest version of the Mentorship Program guidelines will always be found at the under “Members” section of on the Navigation menu.
As in any worthwhile endeavor, Momentum is critical and fleeting. Mentors and Mentees should reach out to each other as soon as possible. To ensure that the new member will be learning from a dedicated, experienced Toastmaster, all the mentors are current Officers.
